90 Day Bucket List

I have been meaning to post this for a while now, but it seems like I haven't had much time to sit down at the computer lately. A few months ago I took the challenge to write a 90 day bucket list. This is a list of things you have always wanted to do, or things you would just like to accomplish. Then for the next 90 days you try to do as many of them as possible. The hardest part was coming up with 90 things I wanted to do! But I did, and I was able to accomplish 45 of them, and some of them I am still in the process of doing.

A few of the goals I set were:

* Sing in the Conference Center
* Learn how to make a pie
* Learn a new hairstyling technique
* Make a new friend
* Do something totally out of character for me
* Act on a prompting
* Reduce my anxiety and stress levels
* Pray fervently every day

I am glad I took the challenge to work on these goals. It has been a great feeling to see how much I can really accomplish when I put my mind to it, and how much I have been blessed to be surrounded by people who are so willing to help me reach my goals. I challenge everyone reading this to make your own 90 day bucket list and let me know how it goes for you!

Our Newest Family Member: Molly!

Okay, I know. I said I would never, and I mean NEVER own a dog. I don't like the mess, or the smell, or how they always want to lick you. But I was caught in a weak moment on New Year's Eve, by some guy in a parking lot with a van full of puppies. But look at that face....how can you say no to that face? I couldn't!
Devin was so excited when we brought her home. He wanted to name her Kevin, after the bird in the movie "Up", but we decided on "Molly". I think it fits.

I think a lifelong friendship has just begun between these two. Molly has been so good for Devin. He has been asking for a dog for I don't know how many years. Now he finally has one, and he couldn't be happier. He even cleans up after her when she has an accident on the tile. Part of me says, "Why did I agree to get a dog? What was I thinking?" But another, less stressed-out and less fussy part of me says, "Why did I wait so long to get this precious little ball of love and energy and enthusiasm for life? She is just what we needed!"
