Meeting Collin Raye

This picture is kind of dark because it was taken with my cell phone in a poorly lit room, but it is the best picture ever because it is a picture of me with my long lost friend, Collin Raye. We went to his concert a few weekends ago, and my sister and I had the opportunity to meet him after the show. It was one of the biggest thrills of my life, because I have loved his music for such a long time. He was very kind and gracious, and I really did feel like I was meeting an old friend. I also found out during the concert that he now lives here in Utah, so we are practically neighbors! I have never been so nervous to meet anyone, and so put at ease the moment we started talking. I was going to tell him that I thought we used to sing together in heaven, but I was pretty sure he would call for security to throw me out if I did! It's not every day that you get the opportunity to meet one of your idols, and even more rare that they are as nice and genuine as you had always thought they would be. Thanks Collin, and I hope we meet again someday as well!!
